I cant connect my macbook pro to a LG tv. I have all the hardware and I used to connect to my older tv without any problems.

thank you, but the problem is that I connect via a the tv hdmi using the adapter, the tv and macbook screens flicker but then the tv shows "no signal"...
Give this a try, it has worked for me brfore. With evrery thing connected an fired up, all other peripherals removed, try a pram reset:
Power down MBP, power up Mbp and hold the following keys before the start up chime:
option,command,P,R, (no commas), continue to hold these keys till you hear the start up chime 2 times, then release. Reboot and see if it resonds.

I resetted de pram, it helped a little, my mac now tries to connect more times the flickering last longer but I still get the same "no signal" message.

I'm sorry that this did not help, if it worked for a while, it makes me wonder if it could be hardware problem
Try having the MBP powered up and plug the in TV while it's on, maybe it will detect. You might have to try changing the resolution, and the setiings on the TV.
