sir when i am restoring my ipod classic (3 genration) on that time it gives an error "ipod s/w update server could not be contacted" while i have
updated itunes and every thing right . i am using windows Vista and and laptop is connected to an internet properly. my ipod has s/w version of 1.1.2
so plz give me some solution...

I assume you are using the latest version of iTunes? Can you run a network connectivity test in iTunes and report the results?

I have send u all the reports of plz resolve the issue..

Did you rerun the diagnostic report after enabling it through the firewall to verify that iTunes is indeed allowed through?
Is iTunes up to date (10.7)?

i have download ed ipode updater also but it say u have to restore it using itune
Is this on a desktop or laptop? If it's a laptop, can you try downloading and installing the update while connected to another network?
Can you just try and restore the iPod on another PC if you have one available?

Sir i have tryed at another network it get connected to apple store their..
On Clicking on Restore the S/W Process completed ...
Their is a process Extracting S/W it's ok but after that
Restoring S/W it Hangs ond give ipod cannot be restored. An Unknown error occurred (1439).
I have tryed the solution by creating appleipod.bat file but it does not work..
solve my issue..
