Wireless keyboard repeating most recent character

I am using a wireless keyboard with my iPad, but when I type it repeats the most recent character I've typed until I type another character. So it might look like ttthhhhiiiissssssssssssss

iPad, iOS 5.1.1

Tried turning it on and off again, and it seems to be working normally for now.
