Does Find iphone app work if the sim is changed? My phone was stolen and I could track it for a few minutes until it was switched off. If they thief puts a new sim in will I be able to track it or is it only linked to my sim rather than the handset?
Also - can you turn off an locked iphone, or did they reset it at that point?

The phone can still be tracked whether it has a new SIM in it or the old one, however if they did restore the phone to factory settings the phone is no longer locked. Even though the thief restored the phone you can still track it with the "Find my iPhone" because he restored the content on the phone but he/she cannot change the IMEI # associated with that phone. Best thing is to report it to the police and continue to track the phone using that applicaiton.

if ther is a 3g signal or wifi in the theif sim card you can immune him.
if he smart ill think that he turns off the service or the phone itself until it will be restore.
