I have exactly this problem but the only Winsock providers are Bonjour Namespace providers. Where do I go from here?
Further problem details:
Windows 7 home premium.
I have an intel i7 2nd gen quad core (8 threads).
while itunes is running, it is uses 13% of my total cpu, aka one ENTIRE (virtual) CORE!
it also uses a whole lot of memory (150Mb, steadily increasing past 200Mb etc)
It begins loading the itunes store and becomes unresponsive to all interactions.
If left alone, it responds to an interaction approximately one minute, ie around 60 seconds lag.
I don't know where to go from here, Apple should have some better help in the windows department :\
