Rosetta Stone Record Function Changes USB Audio Codec Settings

Found and sovled an odd problem with the USB Audio Codec and the expereince might help others. I just the USB audio to talk to my mixing board and it suddently developed a very loud, consistent static sound.

The settings for the codec had changed from 44.1K, 16-bit to 36K, 8-bit. Simply go to Audio / Midi Setup and change the settings back. The tricky thing is that Rosetta Stone was and continues to be the culprit. Every time I use the Rostta Stones record function, the program changes my codec settings.
