Q: Hello,
Hello everyone,
For nearly two weeks ago my MacBook Pro '13 ran out of battery while I was surfing on net. Then, I turned on my MacBook again after letting it charge for couple of minutes. After turning it on, a grey box appeared on my screen with the following message "You need to restart your computer". I restarted the computer several times, but all those times I'd get the same grey screen. I tried to follow some of the advises given by some of you regarding a kernel panic, but unfortunately none of them helped.
So, I eventually gave up on it and took my Mac to an authorized apple service provider. Today, I got an e-mail from the service provider, stating that the problem with my Mac is the harddisk and a defect on the trackpad. They need to replace the harddisk (500GB) with a 320GB harddisk and repair the trackpad for a fee of app. $450,-.
What do you suggest?
Much appreciated!
p.s: My computer is almost 3 years old, and I've had Lion OS for nearly a year.
