Why does my iPad keep showing error smpt.aol.com when ever I try to send a email. I have tried to restart but nothing changes. How do I fix this

Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.
Where it says use SSL the on button is a very light blue button and you can not tap on it.
You can try turning the primary server off and select another smtp server in the list below, if you have another one. I had to do that when I restored my new iPad from the backup of my original iPad. But I have additional smtp servers for AOL.
You can also delete the account and start over again.

Probably because you entered "smpt" instead of smtp in your outgoing email setting.
