export my slideshow from Aperture (with music) to a CD

I'm having problems with exporting my slideshow from Aperture. I'm also new to the mac and aperture, so this could be part of the learning curve!

I would like to export the slideshow (with music) to be played on a non-apple computer via a CD. I see the export options, but they all seem to be specific to other apple products or a TV.

is it even possible to copy the slideshow to a CD?

Thanks!

I see the export options, but they all seem to be specific to other apple products or a TV.

These export options are just guidelines to pick a suitable resolution and codec. If you pick one of them it will render your slideshow and export a Quicktime movie; then you move this movie to a folder and burn this folder to a CD.

If you want a movie that can be viewed on a display of anoter computer I'd go for the option with the highest solution and pick the full HD option: HD 1080p. All other options will result in higher compressed videos with less resolution.

thanks for this! I was able to export the slideshow and it resulted in a .mov file.

I was able to then export this to an external USB key. On my PC laptop it played but a few of the transitions were a bit rocky.

I then tried to burn it onto a DVD-R and the quality was worse. It burned at 2x the speed. On my PC laptop the transitions were rocky. When I played the DVD on the mac, it was horrible. There was basically no sound after aboud 5 seconds. I couldn't burn to a CD, since the file size is 2.4GB and the largest CD avail was only 700 MB. Is there a special trick to burn onto a DVD?
