keyboard is not working on macbook pro

I have the same problem, I bought mine as soon as they were released, I think most people will find they have the problem sooner or later. I have cleaned the so called magic connectors and it works for a while. It's not working now no matter what. I'm very gentle with it and have been all along.

Try a smc reset:

Power off MBP, power back on after shut down. Hold the following keys:

Left shift, contol, option, press these keys immediatly after start up be fore the start upchime ring, continue to hold till the gear stops spinning.

Reboot.

Thank you - saved me a lot of trouble when my macbook pro froze when i tried to cancel a scheduled close down while watching video in Safari .After restart i could only use th F1-F12 keyboard and not login. smc-reset was a solution for me
