making a yearbook with pages
has anyone created a yearbook using pages?

If you visit our site at http://yearbook.cfahs.com there are links to the last three yearbooks. I have students create individual pages in Pages which they export as PDF files and which we assemble into a single book using Preview. This last year we included a QR code pointing to the above web site with video content and lower-resolution copies of those yearbooks. The previous teacher worked with a yearbook company, but we lost money (paid $4k, made $1k and had leftover books) so I've been printing them in-house with our district's print shop -- cheaper and we can wait until May to print them with the quick turnaround -- critical to include all students as we accept new students every six weeks. Our cost is just materials so we spend less than $3 per book (full color) and sell each book for $10.
