When I have finished charging my Macbook pro, should I use it while plugged into the A/C or should I used the power from the battery?

When I have finished charging my Macbook pro (battery is at 100%), and am now using my laptop, should I use it while plugged into the A/C or should I used the power from the battery? I am asking in terms of what is better for battery's longterm health.

Batteries have finite "cycles". If you use the battery down to 50% and recharge twice, that is equals 1 full cycle.

You can safely run your MBP on battery power for long periods, as long as you run it on battery at least once per month down to 40% and recharge.

But do NOT run your battery dead. That will shorten the life of the battery.
