I was redirected somehow to a website identified as classifieds.takequiz.net while trying to search Craigslist. A box popped up telling me I am a winner and asking me to click "OK". I cannot get rid of the popup or the website. I have tried restarting.

Using Safari, I was redirected somehow to a website identified as classifieds.takequiz.net while trying to search Craigslist. A box popped up telling me I am a winner and asking me to click "OK". I cannot get rid of the popup or the website. I have tried restarting, but the website still remained when I statred Safari. How do I get rid of this website?

You seem to have clicked 'okay'. Bit late perhaps to remind you this is not a wise thing to do with sites you don't know and Craigs list is not unknown for diversions like this. Nor do you have your pop up blocker on ... or private browsing?

First things first; If you have clam XAV scan your system. If you haven't, download it (It's free) ... and scan your system.
