OK, so i ordered my Iphone 5 at 3:26 EST on the 14th. My order status says preparing for shipment but i havent been able to track my order through UPS or FEDEX. IM JUST ANXIOUS AND WANT TO KNOW IF ITS EVEN COMING!

If ur truing the Reference Number trick on UPS make sure u use the "Bill to" phone number
I have tried both my cell numbers, the account holders cell phone that i used their credit card on, my home phone and the other numbers that i currently have on my sprint family plan and none of them worked. Im just praying i get some good news regarding my shipment tomorrow via email
There are lots of folks (including myself) in your state. You should get an email soon saying your phone has shipped, assuming your status currently says it will deliver on the 21st.

I can tell you that I ordered a MacBook Air in June, and had the same sort of display at this time of week. Overnight Tuesday night into Wednesday, shipping occurred and I received the machine on Friday.

Once you order goes from 'Preparing for Shipment' to 'Shipment' status then you will receive a shipment notification to your email address with carrier and tracking number.
Check Back later to see if status shows 'Shipment' status then check your email for shipment notification.
I have a delivery date of 10/5, but it changed to "preparing for shipment" on the 21st. I don't have any shipment notifications but thanks to everyone on here, I was able to find a tracking number on UPS.com. I did the "track by ref" trick and entered my phone number, and there it is...in China. So try it! I did that last night, and it didn't work...so keep trying. im just hoping I get a shipment confirmation so I can pre-sign for it 😟
