If you are wondering about capacity, get more than you think you will need. The "stuff" we accumulate seems to expand to fill whatever space we have, and more. If you are wondering about refurbished devices, you can get a pretty good deal on those from Apple, and they still have the warranty.
The ipad air it has faster searching and the graphics are much better
