Can I download Snow Leopard without using Superdrive?
Hello,
I would like to upgrade my son's Macbook computer to OS X 10.6. so that I can then go to Lion. (Curently running 10.5.8) I have the Snow Leopard CD but the Superdive on the Macbook is dead. I'd rather not get the Superdrive repaired as my son has no need for it since he downloads all of his content from the internet. I tried connecting my Macbook, which has a working Superdrive, to my son's, through a firewire cable but even though the disk appears on my son's desktop, it will not allow me to open the software. Also tried copying CD to flashdrive but got the same result. Any other options? Thoughts?
Thanks!
MacBook (13-inch Early 2009), Mac OS X (10.5.8)
