Q: Airport Extreme weak or no signal

I have two Airport extreme base stations. The second one is setup as wireless remote. I just updated the firmware on both from my Mac. The remote station signal strength is only one bar even with my IPhone 1 foot away. Restarting it didn't help. It worked fine till a few days ago. What's wrong?

    Not exactly sure what you mean by "wireless remote," but I am assuming that you mean that you have both base stations configured for an extended network ... correct? If so, please review the link to see if anything was missed in your setup.

     

    If the extended network had been working fine one reason that it would stop doing so would be Wi-Fi interference that may be preventing the extending base station from receiving a signal from the "main" base station with enough bandwidth to repeat.
