Will there be an Ipod touch 6th generation coming out next year or two years?

Really? The 5th gens aren't even shipping yet and you're worried about something that doesn't exist yet? Get a life....

Of course, Apple makes so much money off of it, their not going to let it go. And now with the iPad and iPad mini, their going to see where they get the most interest.

My personal opinion is that they should create one iDevice that includes the Touch, the iPad, the iPad mini and possibly the nano. When you place your order you will select an iDevice, select a screen size (iPad, Mini, or handheld), storage space (32, 64, 128, or 256GB), Cellular Data or not (Wifi only, 4G on Verizon, AT&T, Sprint or Unlocked... we can always hope), and color.

Although I personally don't like the colored one, now that Steve Jobs is dead Apple can and will do whatever will make the most money instead of being concerned for design and perfection like Jobs was. They will end up like Microsoft or any other tech company if they manage to stay in business.

I think that Apple will be dropping the Touch sometime. Of course, I could be wrong, but look at the supported devices for iOS 7:

iPhones 4, 4S, and 5

iPod Touch 5

This could be just because of the processing power, but it looks suspicious to me.

No one here knows and even if they did, they'd be Apple employees and forbidden to say.

I'd give it 50/50. But since it was 2-3 years between Touch 4 and Touch 5, I'm not seeing it happen as often as other devices.

If you want a touch, get the 5 because you know it exists and you may as well get it when it's new than wait years to see if there's another iteration.

There is yes probably going to be an iPod Touch 6th generation. The people who said yes it was in September are mixing it up with the iPhone 5s and 5c. But gathering that these came out almost exactly a year after the iPhone 5, and they have a whole new generation of A7 Dual Core processing chip, I'd would estimate spring of 2014 to late summer of 2014 and maybe fall. I couldbe completely wrong but I believe they want to get another iPod out there ASAP with some new technologies they've aqcuired when making the iPhone 5s and 5c.

I think it is because of the processor. The iPod Touch 4 has an A4 and the iPod Touch 5 has an A5 Dual Core and from my experience, it feels like 7x faster. I've had both 4 and 5. To be specific, the Ipod Touch 5 has twice as fast processing speed and seven times as fast graphic speed, in all: A whole lot better. Apple has aqcuired a few new technologies that they should definitely put toward a new iPod Touch. The new things on the iPhone 5s being: Finger scanner home button, A7 Dual Core processor accompanied by a M7 Motion Coprocessor, and an 8 megapixel camera, whereas the iPod Touch 5 only has 5mp.
