Why can't I get internet or icloud connection further than 2oft with my iPad2?

Why can't I get a connection further than about 15-20 ft with my iPad2?

iPad 2, Windows 7

- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost

Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Power off and then back on the router.

- Reset networks settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

- Maybe interference

AirPort and Bluetooth: Potential sources of wireless interference
