Go to Microsoft's online store and buy the download version.
Yes i'm sorry I forgot to say that I have it yet it will not work with mountain lion 10.8.1
What version of Office do you have? Office 2008 or newer will work with ML, but anything older will not as it was coded for the powerpc processor and the emulation mode that allowed powerpc code to run on intel Mac machines was dropped with OS X Lion (10.7).
So if you have Office 2004 or OfficeX, you'll need to upgrade to Office 2011.
I have 14.0.0 I have Office for mac 2011
That is why I am lost on this one. Word works but the outlook does not.
Well then, it should work? Did it ever work since you upgraded to ML?
You can always write down your activation code, then re-download it from the MS Store, reinstall it and re-activate it - that is if it just something that got corrupted somehow after or during the OS X 10.8 upgrade.
yes as soon as i upgraded to ML it started not working correctly at all and i deleted office and just reinstalled it today and outlook wont even open.
Also i searched around and people are haveing simiar problems.
All I can suggest is follow up on those searches for similar posts and see if others have a solution. I do not actually use Outlook, and Office otherwise works fine for me on 10.8. I'd suggest deleting the preferences and maybe rebuilding the database, but if it won't even launch, those are not useful ideas, sorry.
ok yea thanks a lot for the help buddy. O PS you or anyone you know need any AV done to your house or office? Let me know.

This forum is for troubleshooting Apple Software Update for Windows, a software package for Windows designed to update Apple products that run on Windows, and not related to Microsoft Office in any way. I suggest you post Office related questions on Microsoft's own forums for their Mac products.
