My iPhone says it delivers on 9/21 and still says "Preparing for Shipment"

This is typical of these kinds of releases. Your information will update at some point today and already be in transit. You can go to UPS.com and click 'Track by Reference' and put in your 10-digit cell phone number and try and locate it that way. Numerous people are reporting that is working for them since they do not have a tracking confirmation # from their carrier or Apple yet.

You'll have to wait and find out. Nobody here would know.

My new iPad had the same information showing up until 36 hours prior to launch day just a few months ago but I still received it on launch day as promised but my tracking information didn't get sent to me until 10 hours after it left China so while it's hard to be patient, I'm sure if your pre-ordered and were that first 2 million and it still says expected delivery of Sept. 21, you should be good.

I ordered my iPhones from Verizon around 10:30 am PST on the 14th. My order said processing until yesterday evening when it changed to preparing to ship. This morning I received shipping confirmation with delivery scheduled for 9/21 and a tracking number from FedEx. The phones are in Memphis according toFedex tracking.
