Help for those with Safari 6 "stall, slow, freezing" problems...

I've been recommending here on the forum for people with Safari 6 problems to:

This is per Apple document as posted http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3408?viewlocale=en_US

"disable DNS pre-fetch by using the Terminal by entering this command then press the Return key.

  1. Open Terminal (in /Applications/Utilities).
  2. Execute the Terminal command below to disable DNS prefetching:
  3. defaults write com.apple.safari WebKitDNSPrefetchingEnabled -boolean false
  4. Quit Safari, then open it again and test for the issue.

Well. I just had reinstalled Mountain Lion and as expected, a few hours later my Safari stalls while loading a webpage. So while the safari page was stalling, I disabled the DNS pre-fetch using the above command in Terminal. As soon as I hit RETURN, Safari immeditaly loaded the webpage and hasn't stalled since.

Hope this helps someone.

If this TIP is wrong, please let me know.
