External speakers

Hey ya'll, Anyone having a problem getting sound from external speakers. The output works great with headphones...but I plug in the speakers and No sound, *#$*! I have a set of powered Boston Acoustics (7500G) w/ sub. Is it a voltage problem? Thanks a head of time for your response.

Thanks,

Any luck yet?

I am having a similar problem with my harman Kardon soundstick. Mine worked fine then after waking from sleep my mac would shutdown or restart properly. I ran permissions and a few things that seemed more to do with the display were fixed. Still no fix so I re-set pram. My soundsticks have always shown in preferences and are selected, mute isn't on, and they show in audio/midi setup (set to 44100.0hz & 2ch-16bit). Please help. I would rather not buy some more speakers

My next update on this issue is that I received a reply from Harman Kardon saying "If the problem has appeared since the Mac start up issue it looks like the software for the Soundsticks has been corrupted. If this is the case then that will be the end to using the Soundstick I.
Apple no longer supports the software that controls the Soundsticks."

Know if this is right? If so can I get the software back somehow?
