Sep 19, 2012 9:08 PM in response to EastExpertby DJChad,It does not work for us all. No matter how many Passbook compatible apps I install I never actually see a passbook entry. I only see splash screen with what passbook can do and the App Store button at the bottom.

Sep 19, 2012 9:17 PM in response to DJChadby GFAQUA,Ditto. Time switch allowed me to access iTunes Passbook apps, but I still have nothing more on the app than the splash screen. No cards, add buttons, etc...

Sep 19, 2012 9:33 PM in response to GFAQUAby BellaMinaGill,Hello Everyone,
I also was having the same problems you guys were in the beginning - very frustrating - what I found out was this, when you go to the app store through passbook, it is telling you the apps that work with passbook at this time. (We are told there are more to come, considering this is the first day, I believe them.) When you download the apps that you use, or want to use, you need to load those apps as if you were going to use them as if it were any other day, without passbook. When you open the app and fill out the info to start your rewards cards, I used Sephora and Wallgreens for example, the Sephora app told me that they are now using "Passbook" and asked if I would like to link my Sephora account to Passbook, I followed the steps, as if I were setting up a rewards card with the app. (Wallgreens was the same way.) I already had accounts with both of these apps, so I just needed to set up a rewards card with them. Once I did this, I went back to Passbook, this time instead of the splash screen, there were two cards loaded, one for Sephora, which told me how many points I had with Sephora, one with Wallgreens, nothing special on that one. I can flip back and forth between the cards by putting my finger on the card below. (You'll see that when you use it.)
As far as the other cards, I too signed up for Fandango and Ticketmaster, but there are no cards shown in Passbook for those ones. Im thinking there really isnt a card for those, but when you get close to the venue that you are going to, your ticket information will become available via Passbook, and/or on your lockscreen. (At least that is whats advertised.)
Passbook was very confusing after first setting up my first card, you cannot make any changes to Passbook, there are no settings to alter, it simply just 'holds your cards' for you, very much like a virtual wallet.
I hope this helps everyone!!
So to sum it up, you need to download the apps, fillout the info to sign up for an account (through the app itself) and / or (if you already have an account with them) fill out the info for a rewards card.
Remember, this is just day 1 ..... Im sure there will be lots of tweaks and edits / upgrades to come - like always!!

Sep 19, 2012 9:37 PM in response to BellaMinaGillby BellaMinaGill,Also - as a side note ... the page that has come up in comments about the Pass Source, I think thats what its called, is a Third Party App .... as was stated earlier it is not run through Apple - so it does worry me with advertisements later run through the third party app / website.
Passbook does have some cards / apps that you can set up from the get go - however Im going to just chill for a little while and wait for everyone else to set up their apps / cards so that we can use them through Passbook - Im not a huge fan of third party apps.
Just my two cents.

Sep 19, 2012 10:44 PM in response to arizonadonnby zebraunit222,Remember when siri did the same thing when it first came out. Most likely the same issue. just give it some time and it should correct itself. if not, apple is usually pretty good about fixing an issue like this especially one as important as this new app

Sep 20, 2012 2:55 AM in response to chefmatt1138by olypdd,I wonder if it is because Apple set this up to not work until the release of iPhone 5 on the 21st? What I did is set my date to Sept 22, 2012 and it worked.

Unfortunately I am experiencing the same problem. When I select App Store, I am greeted with "Can't connect to iTunes Store"
I have searched my account settings and general settings to update my account info, as my apple ID that I use for the store is different than the one I use for iCloud.
I disabled passbook from iCloud and still won't connect to the app store. Reset my phone, closed out all associated apps, still nothing.
If I open the app store app it works just fine, as well as iTunes. It seems there is an error in the link or there are some account settings that need to be configured.
Someone let me know when you get it figured out.
OK. I got Walgreens added to the Passbook. At the moment, it is the only app I have that is Passbook ready. Will add others as they become available. I don't see this as very useful until more places join the program, but when I click on Passbook now, I get the Walgreens Rewards card scan code displayed. That's something. A manual online would help a lot!
