yall crack me up how much you rely on technology:)
If you don't want to rely on technology, WHAT are you doing here? We are trying to figure out how to use a new feature, and you aren't contributing anything but more noise.
I sure hope Apple will post an IOS 6 manual SOON. Maybe tomorrow so all the iPhone 5 newbies will have some guidance.

Sep 20, 2012 9:29 AM in response to arizonadonnby ladytonya,I was getting the same error all day yesterday and today. I found this thread and added Walgreens through the app (which I already had installed on my phone so that was no big deal). Now I can't add anything else. I have the Fandango app but I see nowhere in there to add it to Passbook. Plus, now that I added Walgreens that's all that shows up in Passbook, I don't even have the app store link there any more. I like the idea of this but the implementation really needs work!

Sep 20, 2012 9:35 AM in response to ladytonyaby chazzarelli,So far only Walgreens and Target have linked interfaces through their Apps to be used in Facebook. If you want to add more items to passbook, you have to go and use a template from passsource.com. They have free templates for a bunch of vendors and they work GREAT. Just go to the site from your iphone and not from you mac/pc.
For the ones they dont have, you can purchase a user account and then can create any type you want to use. I'm doing that for the frequent ones I use all the time until those vendors come out with support for passbook.

Sep 20, 2012 9:40 AM in response to chazzarelliby ladytonya,How does the Target one work, then? I can't find anything in my Target app about Passbook, either.

Sep 20, 2012 9:43 AM in response to ladytonyaby chazzarelli, not sure how target works, as I didn't try to set that one up as there are no targets here in Dubai or Doha Qatar where I am living. I had read from others that Target was working fine - I believe you go into the app and somewhere in the settings, you can connect it to passbook by putting in your user info.. Sorry I can't help more on that subject.

Sep 20, 2012 9:48 AM in response to arizonadonnby Fernwooddad,OK, I have to admit that Passbook was one of the things I was looking forward to most in iOS 6. I have WAY to many loyalty cards and it drives me crazy. I also use the Starbucks app and love the convenience, as well as travel a lot (like the boarding pass concept). Thus, I'm pretty disappointed that 1 - it doesn't work, and 2 - it sounds like it needs company specific app support to work (in other words, it doesn't sound like there's an easy way to add your loyalty cards if there's no stand alone app for the company).
The good news with this discussion is a couple of people commented on the Key Ring app which I just downloaded and scanned in all of my loyalty cards. A really cool app that's extremely easy to use. Hopefully Apple will try to develop Passbook to work as quickly and easily. I guess getting Passbook to work would be the first step! Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised....

Sep 20, 2012 9:49 AM in response to chazzarelliby ladytonya,Thanks for your help! I figured out Target, you have to register for their mobile coupons then you can put the coupon in Passbook. Big deal! That other resource you mentioned has promise if they don't get this fixed soon, I might add some of my regularly used stuff manually but I'll wait for now to see what the developers fix over the next few days. It does seem odd that the developers weren't ready for this, it seems like it was them and not Apple that was unprepared.
Oh, also figured out Fandango. You can only add a ticket that you've bought to your passbook, it seems like you have to go to the app itself to buy the ticket.

Sep 20, 2012 9:55 AM in response to ladytonyaby chazzarelli,Glad you got it to work.
I will say this in response to your critque on vendors not having stuff ready. Sure they should have realized that over a 3 million users would be downloading IO6 and would be wanting to use passbook. How these vendors failed to create a way to intergrate their apps into this is beyond me. However, Apple also needs to take some blame here because they made it seem to the world like Passbook was an item ready to go from inception, and it is NOT. It's a barely usable product right now, and they had better push for either a way to manually add in loyalty cards/cupons or they had better hope that vendors jump on board. I mean, what happens if major vendors (Airline Carriers, Hotels, Car Rental Comapny's) all decide that its not worth their time and money to develop a passbook link to their systems. Then this app is utterly useless.
For months now, developers have had a chance to develop apps for ios6 and if only 10 vendors (2 or 3 which are working at time of release) made a workable interface, it doesn't bode well for the future IMO.

Sep 20, 2012 10:12 AM in response to chazzarelliby Ikaitus,I think everyone is stuck on the idea of Passbook helping you. That's true in one sense, but lets face it, the app was made more for the Vendors than for us. It makes sense that we would have to have the Vendor app, or sign up to receive coupons to use their services through passbook. It's a way for them to generate more revenue. A bad move for Apple if you ask me. I agree with others that we should be able to just scan in the cards we already own manually. Hopefully this feature will be added in the future.

Sep 20, 2012 10:26 AM in response to arizonadonnby digsoreos,I installed the Ticketmaster app. I have tickets for a Disney on Ice event with my daughter on Saturday. Nowhere in the Ticketmaster app does it say "Add to Passbook" or anything similar. Also, the Ticketmaster feature to "Add to Calendar" doesn't work.
I did manage to have coupons from the Target app added to Passbook so perhaps the Ticketmaster app just isn't ready for prime-time, especially since even the "Add to Calendar" feature doesn't work.
Anyone else have any luck with using the Ticketmaster app and Passbook?

Sep 20, 2012 10:55 AM in response to digsoreosby staceyhann,How did you get the Target app coupons in Passbook? I can't figure it out :-/

Sep 20, 2012 10:56 AM in response to arizonadonnby msNYC ,Passbook doesn't work for me either. Says the same thing. Thought it was an issue with my account, but it seems, generally, universal.

Sep 20, 2012 10:57 AM in response to arizonadonnby Ronald Brannon,Same problem here. Have it loaded but nothing happens. Will try to load the Fandango App and see what happens.

Sep 20, 2012 10:58 AM in response to staceyhannby digsoreos,Click on the "My Target" in the pull-up tray, click "mobile coupons", and follow the instructions to sign up for the mobile coupons. Then, once they appear, you will see a link to "Add to Passbook".
