Sep 21, 2012 7:56 PM in response to arizonadonnby seamu07,Tried the "Date Change" fix on iPhone 4. Didn't work. Stopped getting the "Can't connect" message, but it does't connect- just keeps trying until he phone goes to sleep. If I keep the screen live by touching it, it just keeps trying to connect but never does.

Sep 21, 2012 9:17 PM in response to arizonadonnby notamacgeek,After I read the posts about Walgreen's rewards being accepted in Passbook, I went in and added my Walgreen's account and then tried again to open Passbook. This time it opened without an error message and the rewards card was there. Thanks for the advice! I guess I have to wait for the other rewards programs to accept Passbook then they will update automatically. Maybe.

Sep 22, 2012 4:49 AM in response to arizonadonnby Jorge_Lampreia,Well, just to add some more confusion and diversity...
An iPhone 4, a 4S and a iPOD Touch... All of them upgraded to IOS 6 yesterday....
I am im Portugal, Europe. My dates settings "went" to 2013, 2014, 2015 :-) and back again in all of those devices..
Still Passbook "Cannot connect to iTunes Stores". In any of them.
It would be prefarable to have a a disclaimer saying that (for example) in some countries it did not work yet (like Apple did with Music Match, before).
This is frustrating and "cost" me my Staurday morning. Now, I gave up.... And I'll wait. For what? I really don't know but it will be solved. Eventually...
PS - There is no Passbook at all in iPAD 2 with IOS 6, in case you are wondering...
Cheers
Jorge

Sep 22, 2012 8:28 AM in response to arizonadonnby cdeec4545,Key Ring is a much better app, is 5 star rated, and has most all stores and vendors. Passbook will not be totally operational until mid-2013.

Sep 22, 2012 8:34 AM in response to cdeec4545by Gat0r,Yep, I use Key Ring and it is awesome. Once Passbook is up and running will be good to compare the two.

Sep 22, 2012 9:14 AM in response to Prinkaby susanfromsouth harrow,Same here. I've got an iPhone 4, and have tried closing down Passbook, resetting the date, no effect at all. Still get the Cannot connect to iTunes Store message. Still, I'm making progress. When I first tried to turn on Genius for apps, I got stuck at a screen that told me I'd signed up, with no way of getting out of that screen! That seems to have sorted itself. Kodak Pic Flick hasn't worked either since upgrading to iOS6, it just crashes out every time I try to open it. I'm looking forward to a flood of bug fixes!

Sep 22, 2012 9:22 AM in response to arizonadonnby empiregal,Does anyone know how to get rid of this useless app? By the way the date set idea going forward one year scared me. Got a message with someone elses email address, so I got out of there quick.

Sep 22, 2012 10:41 AM in response to arizonadonnby lee165,I got it to work this way:
I updated some Passbook enabled apps like Target and Walgreens.
Within the store's app I loaded a mobile coupon or store loyalty card then clicked the Add to Passbook button.
Now Passbook works.
I was able to relocate the icon to another screen unlike what others have reported.
I agree this is a sort of backwards way to get it to work but to me this is more logical than advancing the date.
Unlike Cardstar or Zagg Passbook automatically sets the screen brightness to max when it's launched. When you exit the brightness returns to your normal setting.
I can't tell you how many times I've gone to checkout at Target only to have the scan fail until I adjusted the brightness to max. This feature alone makes Passbook a winner to me.
