Passport not working

Just Downloaded iOs6 and wanted to check out Passbook. I click on it and a screen comes up and the only thing to click is the App Store link. I click that and to says it can't connect to the store. Any Ideas?

good thing this OS update was such a surprise to all the developers who need to update their software. . .#ohwait This has been coming and passbook has been touted as one of the major improvements. To have simply a placeholder app that sends you to the App Store to find an app that apparently isn't there is shameful. Apple is better than this.

Passbook isn't something that is going to have compatible apps right away. Apps take months to develop especially for large corporations that have mountains of products and services.

Now, for the developer side of this whole thing, these apps take time to develop. The companies would need to be able to build servers to give live updates to their iOS apps and Passbook users. This will create an extensive and exhaustive data base that would have to interact with their products and services. This is definitely something that doesn't happen overnight either.

The developer betas didn't allow passbook functionality after the first beta was released rendering development useless unless you had beta 1. When the GM was released, passbook was fixed for functionality. Right now, its all up to the developers to update their apps for compatibility for passbook.

As of right now, you can try out the Starbucks app that is compatible with Passbook. That is about all their is right now. Other than that, just give it some time and apps will start updating with Passbook compatibility.
