Passport not working
Just Downloaded iOs6 and wanted to check out Passbook. I click on it and a screen comes up and the only thing to click is the App Store link. I click that and to says it can't connect to the store. Any Ideas?

1. It's called Passbook, not Passport.
2. You need to wait until your apps are updated to support Passbook. Once updated they'll integrate with it.
Same here... It's not working for me either. I was hoping to scan my store cards in today. I don't see how apps would need to be integrated to scan store cards..

Well they do. Just be patient and let the app developers get the updates done.

Well lets see. Lets's think about that for a second... If they aren't updated to support Passbook, then how would they work with it?
So, do you need to have the app for each passbook service you'd like to use? For example, I have a CVS store card. Will I also need to have the CVS app installed in order to link it to passbook?
Some places like Sephora.com have you click links from in the web browser (on your iPhone) to add the membership card to your passbook.
Got it. Thanks
Starbucks and Delta were demoed at WWDC yet they don't integrate. Seems kind of pointless and useless to have PassBook available until integration is complete -- otherwise it's just wasting space on my screen (much like Newstand).
The thing is it isn't even able to connect to the Store. Not that it can't find any apps. I was wondering if maybe a setting needs to happen
I also discovered that if you have Fandango, you can add your movie tickets as demonstrated. If you wanna try this with an old ticket, and you bought it with your Fandango account you can see previous purchases and download your pass.
good thing this OS update was such a surprise to all the developers who need to update their software. . .#ohwait This has been coming and passbook has been touted as one of the major improvements. To have simply a placeholder app that sends you to the App Store to find an app that apparently isn't there is shameful. Apple is better than this.
Passbook isn't something that is going to have compatible apps right away. Apps take months to develop especially for large corporations that have mountains of products and services.
Now, for the developer side of this whole thing, these apps take time to develop. The companies would need to be able to build servers to give live updates to their iOS apps and Passbook users. This will create an extensive and exhaustive data base that would have to interact with their products and services. This is definitely something that doesn't happen overnight either.
The developer betas didn't allow passbook functionality after the first beta was released rendering development useless unless you had beta 1. When the GM was released, passbook was fixed for functionality. Right now, its all up to the developers to update their apps for compatibility for passbook.
As of right now, you can try out the Starbucks app that is compatible with Passbook. That is about all their is right now. Other than that, just give it some time and apps will start updating with Passbook compatibility.
I get the same message "can't connect to iTunes Store"
So I have the Starbucks app. . .my card is loaded into the app. NO INTEGRATION with the passbook app. any other suggestions or should I just wait for them to integreate their already allegedly integrated app?
When I had the developer GM installed, I had Starbucks working fine. Haven't tried it again since unfortunately and updated to full iOS 6. Couldn't tell ya what happened.
