Hi guys,

Your boarding passes, movie tickets, retail coupons, loyalty cards, and more are now all in one place. With Passbook, you can scan your iPhone or iPod touch to check in for a flight, get into a movie, and redeem a coupon. You can also see when your coupons expire, where your concert seats are, and the balance left on that all-important coffee bar card. Wake your iPhone or iPod touch, and passes appear on your Lock screen at the appropriate time and place — like when you reach the airport or walk into the store to redeem your gift card or coupon. And if your gate changes after you’ve checked in for your flight, Passbook will even alert you to make sure you’re not relaxing in the wrong terminal.

Seems to be iPhone iPod touch only.

Wow, what a let down. Steve Jobs must be rolling over in his grave. That should be on all devices. Leave it to google again to school apple on how to do things right. These people do not deserve to get paid as much as they do for performing half of the job. Everyone I know and hang with has to carry an apple product and an android product just to be complete. Still waiting for one company to get smart enough to do it all.

I have an ADHD 7 yr old...if we are in Target etc, I have my hands full, literally. My shopping list is almost always on my iPad, as is my direct line (iMessage) to the hubs if I have a question about something he needs/dinner etc. When I get ready to check out, I'd like to simply use my iPad and not have to sit the iPad down, dig my phone out of my purse, etc. I'd like Apple to know that not all of their customers are busy executives trying to board a plane for their next business meeting who would prefer to just whip their iPhone 5 out of their pants and run along.

Let's put it this way...Passbook was meant for a device that you can easily have in your pocket. This said, I highly doubt Apple will roll Passbook out onto the iPad until there are pants made to fit the iPad...

Think logically, you go to the counter at Walgreens, place your items on the counter, and quickly whip out your iPad to scan the gigantic rewards card on the screen.

No, Passbook was meant to be convenient. Sorry...

Sorry for being such a smart ***, and I understand what you're thinking.

I agree to a certain extent, yes it would be nice if Apple had Passbook for all iOS 6 devices so people who travel a lot but don't have an iPhone 3GS/4/4s/5 can still use the iPad 2/3. However, getting Passbook onto the larger devices would take more time and cost more money for them. Personally, I don't travel around, and I have an iPad 1 so I can't even get iOS 6 on it. I have an iPhone 4 and I use my Walgreens Balance Rewards card a lot.

Again, sorry for being so snappy, I just figure that Apple made Passbook to be very quick and convenient.

I don't agree at all. When I am pushing a buggy through Tom Thumb, or Walgreens or any store. I usually have my child in the buggy seat, my purse (read: iPhone) down in the bottom of the buggy, and my iPad opened out in front of me with my list on it...

Therefore it is much easier (and I can attest from experience with Keyring), to just use my iPad than attempt to juggle groceries, iPad that is already in my hand, child, AND dig down in the buggy and my purse to find my phone.

I realize everyone is different, and that may not make sense to those of you who are more dependent on your iPhones. However that fact that everyone IS different and use their decices to best suit their life situation, is what I think Appple should keep in mind.
