    I performed a network reset and add my home wifi again and it works.


    Go to

    1. Settings, then to

    2. General, scrowl down all the way to the bottom till you see Reset

    3. Choose Reset

    4. While you are in the Reset menus, choose Reset Network Settings


    Once you are done, go back to wifi and add in the wifi networks you desired.


    It works for me, hope it does the same to you too

    That works to me once time, after that a few hours later the problem come back and I got no solution, tryed with reset network settings, full reset , soft & hard resset..... HELLO APPLE ?????????

    I had to do a reset to get the new iOS working.  Now i can not connect to wifi.  I get"wrong password" when i try to log in, yet my husbands phone connected without issue

    If are still using iOS 6 I would update to iOS 6.0.1 and see if that sorts out the problem. If you have tried everything else then try a system restore through iTunes but remember to back up your files before restoring or you loose everything! Good luck, hope it all works out soon

    DFU is Device Firmwire Update and should only be used as a last resort!

    This happened to me and only solution was for apple to replace phone under warranty. Replacement worked fine.

    Issue is a bad board in phone.

    I have to disagree. We have 2 iphone4 of different age, an ipad2 (new warranty replacement) and in another house my mum has a new iPad 2. All devices (except my MacBook) disconnect from wifi when idle and won't reconnect automatically. They all used to.

    When you leave house and return, they no longer reconnect.


    We've tried all the network/iCloud resets and other things mentioned but nothing works.

    Hey everyone! I'm from the Philippines and been following this thread ever since my black 16GB iPhone 4s' wifi greyed out after upgrading to ios 6 almost 4 months ago.


    Just last week, I returned my phone to the store where I bought it, a legit seller of iphones and stuff. My phone is still under warranty but not for replacement. (That's how the store policy works mostly here.) Just for a year of free service waranty. I was told that they will assist me and they will bring my phone to their service center to have it checked.


    They gave me at least 2-3 weeks, 2 weeks would be the shortest time. I left my contact number and hoping that they will (hopefully) give me a new phone if their "tests" didn't work. But just a while ago, I received a message from the agent telling me that they are testing out my phone where as, updating the software all over again and stuff like that. He told me that if the test failed, the "I.C." of my phone will be replaced and it would cost me 2,500PHP roughly $60! The nerve!?


    Oh by the way, I did plan to bring my phone to an Apple Store here but I was advised by the store (where I bought my phone) that I will be charged because I will be doing a different transaction.


    Going back, I told the agent that why do I have to pay if their **** unit is defective? Right? I am just waiting for his response and hoping it would bring better news or else.


    I am just utterly ****** right now. I guess the people here in the Philippines are not that aware of this APPLE SOFTWARE mambo jumbo. Am I only the one here in my country who's experiencing this?


    I am almost thisclose of running out of patience. Apple seriously did one heck of a serious problem to their customers.

    you're not alone bro, same problem with my iPhone 4S. Already sent to Globe two weeks ago, until now no feedback from them.

    I went through all the trouble shooting steps but it seemed to get worse, after restoring phone and resetting home wifi settings the iphone wifi will not turn on.  Hope they have a software update to fix this soon as it is definatley a software fault.

    New IOS 6.0.2 is available Now.  It has a Wi-Fi fix of some sort.

    iOS 6.0.2 is only available for iPhone 5 and iPad mini, any other devise and you will have to wait for the release of iOS 6.1
