Q: Am I the only one having ios 6 ipad 3 wi-fi issues

after my update to ios 6 I tried to set up the ipad and it was unable to join the network....so since then I have reset the network settings, NO SOLUTION!... tried messing with my wireless router settings and switching different channels NO SOLUTION!! , and also reinstalled ios 6 to see if that was the issue....NO RESOLVE!

I have come to terms with the fact that my ipad was fine and connected easily before ios 6 with ios 5, so its not my router or wifi settings.....and my ipod touch 4g was updated to ios 6 as well and it connects absolutely fine to my wifi now.....SO SO FAR I AM VERY FRUSTRATED WITH THE UPDATE!

Having the exact same issue with my iPhone 4s.  Connects to my home wifi (airport extreme) and then redirects me to some lame apple page that says Hmm..the page your looking for isn't here.  Then it kicks me off wifi.  Between this and the battery drain I'm never making the mistake of updating my OS again on my phone Until they have the x.0.1 out to fix the mistakes that shouldn't have been allowed through in the first place.

I updated to ios 6 today and have the same issue on an IPhone 4S using a D-Link router. The wifi connects for a second and then goes to a "login" page that can't be found at apple.com before dropping the connection.

    @Mgoodchild00

This is my exact problem... connect to wifi, comes on temporarily, reverts back to 3G and then pops up with a login page at apple saying "Hmmm, the page you're looking for can't be found". Tried the same as everyone else, reset phone, reset router, etc. nothing works

    I have exactly the same problem - iPhone4 16GB

It appears to happen when I connect to the wireless network. It won't go through the initial steps it wants to since I installed iOS6 in order to configure something, it looks for a webpage on Apple's site that can't be found.

My router's a BT Homehub 3... not the 2Wire one, the newer one.

I am having this same issue with a 2Wire home gateway from AT&T. I am using an iPhone 4S and an iPad 3. Upgraded both to iOS 6 today at the office and everything worked fine on our netgear access points.

Try setting a static IP address on your IPad3.

I have the same issue, setting a static IP address has kept me online for a while.

Not a fix, just a workaround.

    Having the exact same issue....

Sees my network, connects for about three seconds, then loads an Apple (script page like signing into a new open network) then wifi drops. Sees the network, connects, 2-3 seconds, drops, Apple "page cannot be found" appears.

Everything else appears to be working fine.

Same issue here.  Worked fine until OTA update and now it connects briefly and tries to open an apple.com webpage which it cannot find.  Interestingly, if I try to use Twitter and refresh, it briefly connects on its own, and tries to open the same missing apple.com webpage.  Almost as if it is connected behind the scenes but there is some screwed up step that needs to be completed.

Note to self: wait longer before performing a software update

On my iPad 3. As always, I connect to my network. When I'm fast I can switch to Safari and open a website. This tells me the connection works fine. Then, a popup shows up (like when you have web authentification for a WiFi network) and redirects me to a page-not-found at apple before it disconnects me from the network.

This is ridiculous! How can this be? I am very disappointed!

    I got it to work!!!!!!

went into the router and turned on parental controls/ website filtering for my ipad 3.  Blocked http://www.apple.com

turned the wireless back on, on the iPad and boom, no error.

I'm having the same exact issue.  Connects to wifi then an apple page pops up saying the page i'm looking for cannot be found.
