Oct 25, 2012 1:58 PM in response to jetpackmasterby DenverLittleBean,I am having a problem with my iPad as well. I have an iPad 2, and did the IOS 6 update. My iPad then told me to plug it into iTunes, which I did. iTunes told me my iPad was in recovery mode and I needed to resore it. I did that. It went through the restorations process and it keeps repeating it. I am still stuck in recovery mode! I tried restarting my computer with my iPad plugged in, and without it plugged in. I still get the picture on my iPad to plug it into iTunes, and iTunes keeps telling me to restore the iPad. Any help??!!

Dec 1, 2012 8:12 PM in response to jetpackmasterby mal dunks,THIS IS HOW I RESTORED MY IPHONE: plug iphone into computer/itunes. On the screen in itunes under Version it says something like, "if you're having problems restoring your phone click here"...it will restore your phone, but it clears your photos, contacts, etc. But then you can set up your iphone and choose the option to Set up as a new iPhone or Restore from the backup of: xxx. I restored from my backup and pretty much got my phone back with my settings. otherwise, if you want to start fresh just set up as a new iphone.

Jan 30, 2013 10:39 AM in response to SSB0622by nebraskasack,I have an iPad 2 as well and experienced the same problems you decribe with the update but i finally found a solution that worked for me.
First, start itunes on your computer then you must follow these instructions to get the ipad shut down and then a recover start thru itunes, follow this link:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4097
Second, once you accept the recovery and update option and it starts downloading the necessary data for the update, unplug the ipad from the computer. This will force itunes to finish downloading all the data without dumping anything onto the ipad yet. Also, shut down the ipad just like you did in the first step.
Third, itunes will tell you the recovery and update failed, say ok.
Fourth, plug the ipad back into the computer like normal don't hold down the home key like you did in step one, once itunes recognizes the ipad hit the recovery and update option again and it will finally start extracting the data and stop the loop from occuring on the ipad and the recovery and update will begin.
I hope this works for you, let me know if you need further explanation on any of these steps. also, let me know if it works out for you.
