iOS 6 iPhone 4s battery drain

Did an OTA update to iOS 6, and my iPhone 4s is draining quite quickly almost a percent every three minutes

Only apps running are Settings, Messages, Phone, and Mail, and Location Servces are on for Google, Maps, Nearby, Reminders, Safari, Siri, weather, and YP Mobile (sames as before the iOS 6 update) All apps are up to date, and restarted the phone twice. On local WiFi, with AT&T cellular service, four bars.

Phone would get warm at times as well.

Maybe it's an anomaly, else, lets see if this post grows...

I'm also having issues concerning this. I have an iPhone 4s and i've narrowed down the issue to wifi. It seems that when connected to my home network that my phone automatically keeps disconnecting and reconnecting to my wifi network over and over again. This causes the battery to drain significantly faster than it normally would.

I tried deleting the e-mail accounts and icloud settings, but that did nothing to help the problem.

I am having the same battery problems as you. Try resetting all settings by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

And I thought it was just me! I've been having the worst battery life since I've updated my iphone 4s and have never had to charge it so much in a day, it takes longer than usual to charge and it only lasts for so long before the battery dies. Takes about 5 minutes to lose 10% of battery when I am using an application.

Well now my phone is at about 4% battery and died and so I plugged it in to charge, it starts charging but then it decides to turn itself on and then quickly turns itself off again when it arrives at the homescreen. I've been trying to find a way to get it back to normal, and yes I've come across the "Homescreen/Power Button" trick but I obviously cannot do this as my iphone only stays on for like 2 secs and then restarts again. Does anyone know how I can stop it from restarting itself when I try to charge it and bring my ****** phone back to life!

Also has Apple acknowledged this problem with a fix as yet? Because I should not have to cripple my iphone by turning off everything or changing settings to reserve battery life when the reason I bought it was to actually use it.

My device says versión 6.0.1 (10A523), MODEL MC922LL and firmware 3.0.04. And the situation remains the same, if I put on 3G, battery decreases like this

12:20 27%

12:21 26%

12:22 25 %

Activity on this forum has greatly decreased over the past week. Interestingly, that coincides with a marked improvement in my iPhone's battery life. I didn't make changes to any setting immediately prior to this improvement so have no explaination as to what has happened. Has anyone else noticed an improvement in their battery life in last week?

I been having battery problems as well. Every 1 min my battery % keeps dropping by one percent. It's really annoying that I have to keep my USB with me. I have a 4s on 6.0.1 can anyone help me thanks.

I reset all my settings and for the first time since I updated to IOS 6, my standby time and actual usage time are finally different. I think this must have killed the rogue process that was constantly running in the background which I am hoping will improve my battery life.

I tried everything. Even deleted most apps. It works fine for a couple of days then the battery starts draining again.

The fact that I got a brand new phone from apple and still have the problem leds me to believe it is an App causing the problem. Just don't know which one or why

The problems (no wifi, battery drain) are still present on my 4S regardless of what I do.

The only thing that solves the battery drain-issue is to turn off cellular data.

Due to my job I got a brand new iPhone 5 with iOS 6.0.2 this friday. Sunday morning I could see that the battery drain also exists there. Seems to be cellular data.

I complained and the phone was chenged for another brand new one. It's running iOS 6.0.1 and I won't update to iOS 6.0.2 for a while. Will see how it behaves.

Apple - come on, acknowledge these problems!
