iOS 6 iPhone 4s battery drain

Did an OTA update to iOS 6, and my iPhone 4s is draining quite quickly almost a percent every three minutes

Only apps running are Settings, Messages, Phone, and Mail, and Location Servces are on for Google, Maps, Nearby, Reminders, Safari, Siri, weather, and YP Mobile (sames as before the iOS 6 update) All apps are up to date, and restarted the phone twice. On local WiFi, with AT&T cellular service, four bars.

Phone would get warm at times as well.

Maybe it's an anomaly, else, lets see if this post grows...

I did what Pizza98704 suggested as it has worked for some folks for which I am glad.

My phone has been through 2 complete cycles since doing it and I see no difference. It appears my best option is to take Verizon's offer of $94 for the phone and upgrade to the iPhone5.

I wasn't looking for a new phone, but with all I do carrying a phone that loses 10% battery an hour when idle is useless.

Thanks to everyone who has tried to help the minority of us who are having issues.

On a side note, when Apple did the upgrade for me at the store, my battery also drained before having any apps put back on it.

Just wanted to add my 2cents here and say that 6.1.2 has not solved the battery drain issue AT ALL. After multiple resets and a complete wipe and reload of my iphone 4s there is still no solution. Honestly, I think this may be the last straw apple....

Does anyone know when 6.1.3 will be coming out??? Or should I be changing to Samsung like the rest of Asia?

If Apple is smart enough we should see another battery fix, wishful thinking? I hope not. iOS 7.0 will be our next hope. 6.1.3 is not gonna be a battery fix update because Apple thinks 6.1.2 fixed it. People really need to get on the phone with Apple and let them know what's going on with this new update 6.1.2. I've called Apple everyday to let them know because hopefully Apple may try to fix the battery again with 6.1.3. Rally up people and call Apple.

Hey Guys,

I am also facing the same issue.

Why I upgraded my Phone to 6.1.2, I am regretting now. Please can anybody help me. Is there any way to downgrade as my phone goes down from 60 to 1 percent in an hour 😟

It was working fine before this upgrade 😟

I think I have done a mistake by trusting Apple. Wont recommend it to anybody.

Thanks

Ankit

Sorry to hear about the battery problems, no way to downgrade. Apple doesn't let you do that. I think it's unfair that Apple locks you in a firmware, it's your phone! You should do what you want, but The silly Apple rules. All the honest joes are stuck! People who did a jb can downgrade. But it also voids your warranty.

Are you reading this Apple, tech support? Anyone from Apple?! Fix this problem! Your messing up! Loyal fans that love Apple shouldn't have to deal with this battery drain garbage!! I'll call every freaking day until you fix it right!! The iPad mini will be the last Apple product I buy if you don't fix this! I'm pretty sure I'm not alone here! 151 pages about battery issues! Wake up! Billion dollar company and you can't get this one simple thing right! I'm so p/o that all you can say is reset it, put your apps back on one by one, done that a dozen times!! FIX IT!!!!
