Oct 17, 2012 11:15 PM in response to Jbleoneby Blunderact,This one works for me: In Settings>iCloud, turn all to "off" except Note and remeinders.
In Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>iCloud, put "off" all except Reminders and Notes and Find My Iphone (Mail and Calendar MUST be turned Off).
In Setting>Mail, Contacts, Calendar>Exchange, put them all off except calendar (for google mail calendar)
In Setting>Mail, Contacts, Calendar>(Your default mail), Put off Contacts and Calendar except Notes
In these settings, you still have in icloud the reminder and notes and Gmail Calendar sync
Remove your mail from notifications

Oct 18, 2012 3:44 PM in response to Greg Bastug1by jrnet154,Last night I charged my phone to 100% right before I went to bed. My phone was in Do Not Disturb while I was asleep. I woke up to 87% battery life. My fetch was set to "manual" and "push" was off. iCloud was on though. I'm convinced it's the culprit. I received a newly replaced iPhone 4S about two weeks ago and they installed iOS 6 from iTunes. I setup my phone as "new" and there are very few applications on my phone. My phone battery is draining as fast as my confidence in Apple's ability to acknowlege and resolve this issue.

Oct 18, 2012 6:32 PM in response to jrnet154by AlPrunty,Here is how I fixed mine.
1. Installed Google Chrome
2. Went to Settings > General > Restrictions > set security Key > Disabled Safari
3. Closed out of settings
4. Held down the top button and the center round button to hard shutdown the phone.
5. After phone restarted from hard shutdown my battery automatically restored
The problem is in safari... I also got a bill that showed massive amount of data useage.
My battery life is amazing after this.
This has worked on all my co-workers Iphones at work. Google chrome stinks as it does not fully integrate into ios6 but it gets the job done until apple gets it together and fixes this problem.

Oct 18, 2012 8:59 PM in response to alxdcby alxdc,With your amazing battery life, was your LTE or 4G or 3G switched ON? Or was it OFF and you are on EDGE or 2G connection that's why you guys are having good battery life?
I'm sure some of u may know that LTE, 4G, 3G, consumes **** allot of power and EDGE/2G are the least. I switch OFF 3G and let it run on EDGE. I only use 3G when I'm browsing the web or downloading. I had a full charged 100% and unplug the charger at 715am and the time now is 12pm and my phone is still at 100% with light usage of SMS and checking update on websites.
iPhons 4S
turn off 3G/4G/LTE only use it when nessesary like browsing, downloading
turn off set auto time
turn off icloud except for find my iphone
turn off auto backup to icloud
turn off push email switch to manual

Oct 19, 2012 3:38 AM in response to AlPruntyby JJ4s,Safari (I believe) is the significant factor!
I closed down the pages I had open, have not even bothered to disable it, and my phone which was running flat in 4.5hours is now:-
USAGE : 3hours 18 minutes
Standby: 2 Days, 12 Hours
And I still have 25% battery life left!
Battery life seems better than ever now!

Oct 19, 2012 9:55 AM in response to Greg Bastug1by gtuck,I've tried about everything as well except setting it up as a new phone. With System Activity Monitor, it appears the issue--at least on my phone--is related to Safari and iCloud syncing. If I don't use Safari and have iCloud bookmark syncing off, battery usage approaches normal under 5.1.1.
