    The last thursday i bought an Samsung Galaxy S3... and my battery issues disapear... I´m happy now, I´m not worrying about a phone that is going to shut down in the middle of a call...


    I turn on my S3 at 4:30 am before a full charge, and ridht now 9:25 am my phone have 80% I´m connected to twitter, facebook, gmail, instagram, etc... (push notifications) GPS ON, locations ON, etc...etc...etc...


    A fully funtional phone...just 20% off in almost 5 hours of use...

    Every phone has it's issues.  There were batches of Galaxy III's shipped with drive problems where it would just quit a few months after activation.  When I had an android, it reminded me of this same out of control data and battery use from crap running in the background for no good reason, at least not for my benefit.

    I will give android credit, that they added tools for the users to monitor and control battery use, and it seems way better in that regard now.

    Almost every one of these problems could be improvied by allowing users to see and control what's using up their battery and data, including apple's own programs. I won't jump to google because it is a subsidized "free" os they control by back end politics to get your data and market you and your habits to the highest bidder.  Their complete disregard for people's privacy is not a good thing for people long term.  What about when they sell their company?  I'm not ready for that trade off, because there's probably a reason privacy was so important to our founders, and other people so if I leave apple it will be for something better.

    I don't have this problem anymore but I am monitoring and waiting for apple to fix it for way more people.  It seems like a lot here just want to complain by posting unreal stats they don't really explain how they followed up on, like charging for 24 hours and being 0%, not even saying they called apple and filled out a simple form, just they "talked to someone" at a store, etc.  I want this fixed as much as anyone, and know there are some with real problems still, but people who won't even make a phone call or fill out a form and post things that don't seem real make it hard for them to track down and deal with the people who have real problems I'm sure.  Personally, I'm the only one out of my friends who had this problem.  One did and a hard reset fixed his, so it wasn't a problem.  I found mine was just an app, that i admit shouldn't have been so frigg'n hard to track down, imo.  Also, if you upgrade the os be sure to update your apps.  I also had issues when running old apps on new os, that hadn't been updated and tested right.

    Congratulations for the S 3. But since you are an owner and user of a Samsung device, I guess you should read more about the " SUDDEN DEATH " syndrome that affects the Androids..

    I don't mean to be rude but obviously different smartphones have different " syndromes ". So far I'd personally prefer to stick to what I know best..

    I hope to trust again in Apple...because this issue is happening since September March 2013... 5 month, 3 update realses, are not enough to solve an issue that is affecting like half million of worldwide users?

    Since I loaded 6.0.1 my battery loses 10% to 15% of it’s charge per 45 to 60 minutes of no to very light usage. I’ve called Apple support twice. The first call they told me to load 6.1.2 and that would correct the rapid battery drain. It did not.


    On the second call the tech wanted to charge me for support even though I’ve only had/been using the phone since March 17, 2012. (I purchased the phone directly from Apple’s online store.) I requested an exemption based on the fact that it was an iOS update that had started the problem with the battery. He denied my request and suggested I speak with my service provider. He then offered to transfer me to their Technical support line. Since it was obvious that was all the help I could expect to receive, I accepted. But all he did was put me on hold.


    I called Verizon on my own and after about 20 minutes of trouble shooting they decided to overnight me a replacement phone at no charge to me!Unfortunately, the replacement phone is defective, one of the speakers does not work. Now they are overnighting me a second replacement phone, again at no charge to me. Apple should learn to be as good at customer care.

    Further update. After leaving updates alone for months (I posted several months ago that 6.01 screwed my battery life when push emails was on, phone got hot, all usual symptoms etc) yesterday I bit the bullet and went up to 6.1.2 hoping like mad it would work as I knew my issue was to do with push and exchange.

    I did it by direct USB cable for iTunes as I don't trust OTA any more.

    Good news, it worked.

    Turned push back on and everything works as it should have all along.

    No heating up and battery life is currently 31% after 1 day 13 hours - which is better than I ever had.

    So the 6.1.2 definitely worked for my iPhone 4S issue YMMV.

    Good luck all as I know what works for be doesnt for others.

    Don't  worry about that bs with galaxy 3 my ex wife has one and she had more complaints with her iPhone. Like you said, you don't have to worry about the battery, to me that's like looking at your gas gage in your car every min...


    Congrats on getting away from Apple! Enjoy that new galaxy 3. Ha

    My issue is your mad on hate of apple, and delusion that nobody has problems with any s3.

    Just like many here have issues resolved by different things, each phone has its own set of issues for some people.

    People's problems with iPhone are not bs just because some don't have them, etc.

    If you don't have problems and your good handing over all your info to marketers trusting to their divine discretion, good luck and god speed.

    Mad at Apple? Apple products are expensive, been buying Apple products for a long time, with Apple, you get what you pay for. That's in the past. Apple knows of these issues and I find it hard to believe that Apple can't fix them, that's a joke, a billion dollar company can't fix a couple of issues? Ios 6.0 was not ready for release! Now Apple has to patch this and that, come on! When the ipad mini came a lot of people said no one is going to buy it, I did, fed ex dropped it at my door November 2nd, I didn't care if it was over $300, didn't care it was more than other tablets that size.


    I don't hate apple, but I would never buy an iPhone! iPod, ipad, Mac, sure! I would love to see apple fix the battery drain problem. And a lot of other people out there would like to see this happen.  Don't put links in your post, makes you look weak! me!

    I'm starting to get why they're editing or deleting your stuff, if they are. People are trying to solve problems and the constant inaccurate claims S3s don't have just as many problems for some, mixed with venom at every turn, are neither true nor helpful.  believe just the handful of links I gave you or look up your own, as there are plenty of people with s3 issues too.  There are plenty of reasons I'm not going google but this is about fixing iOS battery issues some are having for various reasons.

    I'll leave this to others too though till I have better answers myself, as I want apple to get it together too.  Every solution I know has been posted but it would be nice if they were all in one section and people didn't have to wade through this to extract the 10 or so tips repeated throughout.
