Oct 4, 2012 1:48 AM in response to Greg Bastug1by juanfromb,By the way, I forgot to mention that a possible way to check this solution is just deactivating Push mail after IOS upgrade and check the results before erasing everything.

Oct 4, 2012 4:14 AM in response to juanfrombby satutureyes,Well.. I tried again last night..
wiped phone (4s)
restored in DFU mode
re-installed apps from the app store on the phone not itunes
set up my 2x Exchange accounts.
All setup done 'as new' and not from any backups at all. Still no joy.
Battery is still terrible.

Oct 4, 2012 4:23 AM in response to juanfrombby nados3,thanks...had the same battery problem, in addition to apps crashes...i restored the phone and set it up as new user then re-installed all the apps and sync-ed through icloud, seems to be working fine till now...no more crashes, and the battery (also still emptying kinda fast) is far better now...i think its the io6 battery hungry symptom!!
try it out people with similar problems...
cheers,

Oct 4, 2012 5:35 AM in response to Greg Bastug1by HeavyDutyKen,I'm having huge WiFi and BT issues after performing a "Reset all Settings" today to try and get a handle on the 4S battery drain issue.
Now my 4S won't recognize my previously paired BT, won't pair up fresh, and won't connect to my secured WiFi network here at home - I keep getting an incorrect password dialog. The 4S was happily working with both BT and this WiFi network under iOS6 ever since release day... until I did the ^%E@^ reset. If I turn off WiFi security I can connect, but that's no solution.
I am not pleased.

Oct 4, 2012 8:03 AM in response to juanfrombby CalebM39,I recently turned my push mail off and, to no avail, it didn't help at all with my battery drain. What's struck me as strange in this whole process is that my phone says it's basically constantly in use (right now it's at 94% only an hour after a full charge overnight, with my usage at 50min and standby at 52min, but I have not used the phone at all, literally all I did was pull it off the charger). I wish I could figure out why, but I have not been lucky enough to find the problem. This is also with wifi off, push email off, location services off, and bluetooth off.

Oct 4, 2012 9:50 AM in response to CalebM39by -Vans-,It's stupid, but if you want to stop battery's drain, you must put off ALL the features that the iPhone brings as a added value, like Siri, Location services, Push services, so on (ALL the options that needs Internet). I do all these things and now my stupid "Smarphone" have at least 20% 12 hours later (without using alot, only WhatsApp and sometimes Facebook).
Now i'm really dissapointed with Apple after install iOS 6, i hope that Apple's team find FINALLY A FIX (make batteries with more than 1400 mAh...) for this problem that is coming since iPhone 4 or probably my next Smartphone will be one Samsung or Nokia ...

Oct 4, 2012 10:36 AM in response to -Vans-by Naixed,Apple you fail! At least acknowledge the issue at hand and let the community know that you're working on a fix to the issue? I have 4 exchange emails and cannot afford to disable push on any of them for business continuity! But I am tempted to because the excessive drain to my battery is pathetic, even with minimal usage. I am barely afloat mid day before having to plug the damned thing for a recharge. Let's not even get started with apple maps.

Oct 4, 2012 11:05 AM in response to Greg Bastug1by eddiethehead,Here's a good one for you all:
I thought I had it figured out. Battery life back to normal after deleting icloud data on phone and disabling siri. No push notifications.
While browsing my music my battery went from 100% to 99% while being plugged into the wall!!! Yes I had the little lightning bolt showing in the battery icon, and yes it was at 100%
This is MADNESS!
Also, this is on a brand new iPhone 5!

Oct 4, 2012 11:37 AM in response to Naixedby netsoup,I wish an Apple rep would start officially responding and asking questions here.
We know they're monitoring and are aware of people's attempts to fix this and the numerous suggestions we're passing around.
If they pipe up with some assurance, ETAs, updates on what they have found as the most effective band aids, etc that would be most helpful and seriously help their image through this.

Oct 4, 2012 2:16 PM in response to Naixedby Wjels,SAY SOMETHING APPLE! We use our phones to work and communicate!
+ fix it as soon as possible AND let us downgrade in the meantime!
I tried many solutions from the boards but they didn't work (even the restore as new option).

Oct 4, 2012 2:41 PM in response to Greg Bastug1by jwong_2000,right after upgrading to ios 6, i am having huge battery drain issues on my iPhone4. i can sit and watch the battery % go down while i sit at my desk. it's totally sad. i tried turning every thing off. cellular data. passbook, closed all the apps (wiggly minus) and rebooting (hold and slide). no improvement.
it gets too hot to keep in my pocket. *****. i like the features, but the bugs are killing me.
i really hope there is a fix soon. damit. i used to be able to last a day at work with 1 charge in the morning. now it's dead by lunch. 50% worse.

Oct 4, 2012 2:54 PM in response to HeavyDutyKenby HeavyDutyKen,Battery life today is much better, but I would expect a large improvement with WiFi and BT turned off. I'm going to try backing it up tonight, wiping it and restoring it again to see if that helps my radio issue without impacting battery life.
