How can you delete the VIP Mailbox from the mail screen on iOS 6? This VIP box is highly annoying and gets in the way of important other mailboxes. This seems like it would have to be configurable and not shoved down your throat by Apple as it really is a worthless feature.

This has nothing to do with VIP mailbox.
And most users don't even have Profiles on their iPhone.
I highly agree. Cool feature, useless for me and very annoying that I cannot disable. Reminds me of newsstand all over again.
all there is (for now) is the ability to move it below under other important mailboxes, but there are no options to disable/hide it.

I don't know but I hope Apple is listening and updates to allow disabling of VIP soon! So annoying.
I fully agree. Hope that this "feature" is removed very soon. I really can't figure out what it is good for. I use my phone for business and private purposes and receive some 15-16.000 mails every year. Every mail is important, and if not, then I delete it right away. Please Apple, make this "feature" configurable or simply make it go away!
I agree. The VIP mailbox is not useful to me, and is therefore an annoying waste of precious screen space. There should be a way to hide it. Likewise for the "All Inboxes" item, I don't use it and there should be a way to hide it.
You all listening to us Apple? Useful or not (in my case, not) I want control over what features I use on my phone. Please fix to give us the option of turning VIP off, or deleting it altogether.

As was already mentioned, you can move the VIP box to the bottom of the mailbox list.
^ And as was already mentioned, we don't want to just move it, we want to REMOVE it. Learn to read.
This is a worthless feature and should be removable.
How do you move it?
in your mailbox main page - press edit.
a 3 horizontal line icon will appear beside each mailbox that can be moved. Drag it where you want it.
You can move it by clicking edit at the top right, then pressing/holding/dragging on the icon that appears next to "VIP" on the right. Although you are limited on how far or where you can move it. Really pointless.
