I had the same problem after update. I restarted the iPhone 4, but nothing was working.

Finaly, what worked for me was : Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings

Tried everything, nothing worked until I hard reset the iPad, press and hold both home and power until it reboots, worked well after that, no problems at all

Had the same problem with Iphone 4s. Tried forgetting network and putting in the password multiple times.. it would connect then disconnect after a few seconds. Last attempt.. it worked. It's been connected for 5 minutes, and lets hope it stays that way!

On my New Ipad I was able to resolve my issue of the Apple page coming up with

"Hmm, the page you're looking for can't be found" Log In page from http://www.apple.com., as if to ask me to ascent to use a public wifi after providing my Security key, by performing a Network Reset.

This worked for me.  Went in to my router settings and set encryption to WPA2-Personal with AES. also set 20Mhz/40Mhz option but unsure if it was necessary.  Reboot the router and turned the iPad on.  Went to wifi and clicked my wifi and set to forget this network. Re-selected my wifi and entered the password and all has been fine since.

I had the same problem. I could go to App Store fine but once I opened safari wifi dropped. I cleared cache and cookies, reset iPad (. home and power) and all appears to be fine now..., this is not good and I can see it happening tomorrow.  The worst thing is ios6 is a bit of a let down.... The maps are a serious step backwards.

Hope you guys are sorted soon.

Iphone Settings >> iTunes & App Stores >> Apple ID: (Enter your credentials) *If already signed in, sign out and sign back in. This solved the problem for me hope it works for you

I had the same issue after updating to iOS 6. You try to join the wireless network and looks like it does but then goes away. Click on the round blue arrow next to the network you were trying to join and select the "auto join" slider to on. This fixed the issue on both my iPad2 and iPhone 4GS. Tried removing wifi network, turning off/on, reboot, etc... nothing worked. last resort was to turn slide on the join automatically. seems to have worked for both of my products.

I had the same problem but i think i have figured out how to fix it.

I have an Iphone 4s but hopefully this works the same with Ipads and Itouches.

Setting >wifi> click the blue circle with arrow next to your wifi> scroll to bottom and set:

    HTTP Proxy to Auto.

I did that and it has started working. I have no idea what that means or does but it works!

I cleared history and cache in safari settings, and also turned off pop-up blocker and fixed my issue for the most part.

    SOLUTION

This solution as suggested earlier worked for me (iPad 2 / iPhone 4S)

    1. Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data.
    2. Closed all runnnig Apps
    3. Restart iPad/iPhone
    4. Turned AutoJoin on for the Wireless Network
