Sep 20, 2012 8:05 AM in response to ConductHQby Greg Killmaster,I have an iPad 3 with the same problem and this worked for me (what ConductHQ recommended.)
"This happened to as well on the 4S. You will need to go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings
This solution resolved the issue not connecting to the WIFI"
Nothing else worked. So far, after 30 minutes, this looks like it has.

Sep 20, 2012 9:18 AM in response to MicahBurkeby dasack1,Was your device plugged in and charging while you performed the update? If not, do the following:
1) Plug in your device.
2) Go to Settings, and reconnect to your WiFi network.
3) You should now be connected to WiFi.
If you have enough charge to start the update, the update process will begin. But it will not finish once the device reboots unless you are plugged in.

Sep 20, 2012 12:59 PM in response to Greg Killmasterby Greg Killmaster,Unfortunately, after an hour the disconnects started again. arg. How can this be happening. I've tried everything. I'm ****** cause this should not happen or we should at least receive some response from Apple. I went through this kind of thing for almost a year on my macbook which I eventually scrapped cause the wifi never worked after updating to Lion. NOW THIS. This if fu.....d.

Sep 20, 2012 1:15 PM in response to Greg Killmasterby Greg Killmaster, just got off the phone with Apple and there are reports about the problem. He said a handful which I translate into hundreds. Resetting the device didn't help but they told me to check http://www.apple.com/pr/ for updated reports about the issue. Also you can also provide feedback at http://www.apple.com/feedback/. I don't have much faith in either of these based on past experience. hopefully someone will post here if they find out what the problem is.

Sep 20, 2012 3:22 PM in response to Hestiby Buttachad,I found that if you go to the icloud in the settings tab and retype your password. Turn off the phone. Forget the wireless and readd it works. I have not had a problem all day after this.

Sep 20, 2012 7:00 PM in response to Buttachadby Greg Killmaster,I've tried everything suggestion in this thread and nothing works. Is anyone still stuck?
wifi keeps disonnecting and App Store is stuck with about 8 apps that say they're downloading but just sit there and I can re-start their downloads...
Anyone having this problem as well?

Sep 20, 2012 7:08 PM in response to MicahBurkeby Papoastroboy,Guys I might have a solution to all your problems.
It is always best to install a new OS from scratch. Doing an "upgrade" is not always the best thing to do and this is what I have learned over the years when updating my iPhone and iPad:
1. Back up ALL your stuff to your Mac or PC (documents, photos, etc).
2. Reset the iPad or iPhone. Chose the option to delete everything. A complete, factory reset.
3. Once the device resets and the OS comes back then do the upgrade to iOS6.
That is how I did it and I have not had a single issue with WIFi, battery life or anything anywhere near close to what's being reported in this forum.
Good luck!
