I'm getting "incorrect password" when attempting to connect to a TKIP secured wifi on a 'new' iPad with iOS 6 installed.

I did the same ....set up device as new when you reconnect with iTunes to reinstall all the apps from the backup.

It has been stable so far ....over 24 hrs!

I don't know what to tell you my friend. Like I said, I reset the device to factory default - erased everything. Then when the device came back up (clean, no apps, nothing, just plain-jane iOS 5.1.1), then I connected the iPad to the Mac and updated it through iTunes because I do not trust that over-the-air update thing. Files can get easily corrupted over the air.

Like I said, it worked for me. No issues here.

I think you must be leaving out some steps. Could you clarify exactly what you did? When I hooked it up to my Mac, there was no iTunes backup (but there was right before I started the procedure) arg, I say.

If you have a netgear router, yes even though its an iOS6 issue, try this please.

    http://www.davejackson.com/life/cant-access-wifi-with-ios-6-on-iphone-with-netge ar-wgt624v3-fix/

Nothing worked for me before. After trying all the other fixes it would still say unable to connect to network. Installed this firmware for my router and it worked!! Please try it

Tried everything else and this was the ONLY solution that worked for me.  iPad 3 now connects again.

I had the same problem, and this fixed it for me, but it may have been a bit of a coincidence.  Went to Wifi settings clicked on the blue arrow of my network, then clicked the button to Forgot this network. Then I turned off bluetooth, and then re-entered the password to my network.  Connected without any problems and no Apple.com window.  I hope this helps someone.

I have the iPhone 4S and when I updated to the new iOS 6.0 I was having trouble connecting to my own wifi. I kept getting a "not found" error page on Apple's main site.

SOLUTION: Restart your phone, hold the home key (large circle) and the top key together at once (a super restart mode I would call it) and everything was fixed. It should solve everyone's problem..

Having the same problem with not connecting inside my workplace. I can connect both my iPhone and iPad at home through a run of the mill Comcast connection with basic Comcast securities. At work I am running through a Cisco firewall and an Ironport web security appliance.

In the past with iOS updates, I would grep the user agent when the item would try to connect. I would add the data to the Ironport and problem solved. After the 6.0 release, nothing would come up for me to grep when trying to connect. I have had to google the user agents. I can now get to the login screen that says "Success". That's all I get. No success as it simply falls back over to 3G/4G.

So Apple, the problem is not resolved as this has never been an issue up until now. Something in your handshake is not working.

this didn't solve the problem for me on my iPad 3. In fact, I erased everything which for some reason completely removed my backup in iTunes. When the iPad restarted, it couldn't connect to the could wifiwise so now I'm left with an iPad with no wifi and no apps. Waiting for an update to fix this at this point. Apple rep said Apple is aware of this and working hard to release a fix. DIdn't say when. This has been kinda good for me oddly. Made me rethink how dependant I am on my devices now. Gotten really extreme...

This has to be a iOS 6 problem.  I upgraded my iPad 3. Have rebooted and restored countless times, rebooted my router, and even did a full on factory restore to my router.  Same issue persists!  Wifi conects within my network, but after a while , won't go out to the net!  No issues before and my iPhone 4 still running iOS 5 still coonects and goes on the web with no issues! Thank goodness I didn't upgrade it and for sure won't, if just to keep using the iOS Google Maps app!! What I've seen so far on my iPad (when it feels like staying connected to the net!) I'm not impressed!

My wife is gonna kill me though cause I upgraded her iPad 3 and it's doing the same thing, hence the conclusion something is going on with iOS 6.

A long time happy Apple customer user, but definetely not for the last 3 days!! **** frustrated! Thet better get a fix out pronto!

Same problem for iPhone 4s but not iPad.  Plowed through all the solutions noted for several hours.

    This finally worked:

For those folks using a NetGear Router WGT624v-3,

    http://www.davejackson.com/life/cant-access-wifi-with-ios-6-on-iphone-with-netge ar-wgt624v3-fix/

Updated the router firmware, WIFI came right back for iPhone.  No ill effects for iPad or other machines.

    Keep up the good fight!
