No sound and terrible map quality

Im having Terrible 2bit graphics on the map when using 3d and satellite view on my area.

Also I am have NO indicator when using the + and - button for the volume slider on the left.

NO sound when listening to music on the Iphone

NO sound when playing videos on the iphone

NO sound when playing youtube videos

Tried altering the volume whilest playing to no avail

Had a look at the general settings volume according to the slider it is maxed out

when i press + and - i see the software slider bar increasing and decreasing so that side hardware to software is functional

Any ideas or anyone else having these issues!!

I haven't even tested anything else due to the problems
