Just installed ios6 and very disappointed that the install has removed youtube app and google maps without asking me. Also, apple maps seem to be worse than google maps.
How do I restore the two apps?
What the ****, apple, why tou mess with good apps? This makes owning and using ipad less enjoyable!
You can't restore them, they are no longer included with iOS. There are YouTube apps in the app store that you can download.
And these are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here
It appears that you just blindly jumped into IOS 6 without so much as researching what the impact of that would be. I would recommend doing a little research into why Apple built their own maps into the OS.
I also seriously doubt that not having the YouTube app or the Google maps will make your experience less enjoyable. If it does you can enjoy the new clock app to pass your time.😎

You can whine or you can go into the app store and download the Google youtube app and maps (when Google make it available).

Yes, yes, I know, should have checked first and was not in a good mood so went into a bit of a whine. Apologies for the negativity. Just frustrated that there apple could be more explicit before the install not only on what is included but also on what will be removed. It is this sneakiness that caused the reaction. Sorry again for whining.
Seriously though Apple maps do not seem to be as good as google on the first impression. I hope Google makes a replacement app sooner than later.
Youtube is not a problem as it still can be used via the normal website.
