The maps for my hometown in iOS 6 are not only extremely ugly (and old) but not a singular buisness has a correct location as far as I can see. Anyone else getting really annoyed by this switch?
If you had browsed the forum before posting, you would see quite a number of existing threads with many people "annoyed by this switch".
Safari - go to google maps. When the site comes up, you will get a prompt telling you how to put it on your screen as an app, or just tap the arrow at bottom, and select "Add to Home Screen". You can move it any time.
Another option is Nokia Maps use safari and open http://maps.nokia.com. It also can be added to your homescreen as described above and as a bonus it has offline storage..
I cannot see where the arrow you speak of is on google maps to get the download to homescreen prompt.
Can you help?
oops figured it out - thank goodness google maps is around...
