Just updated to ios6 from ios 5.1 on iphone4
Built in maps app is not able to find any route/directions for Indian locations.
Tried a lot of permuataion, but every time it erros mentioning" Directions not availabel"
Although for US locations it is correctly showing directions
Let me know how to fix this

Same here no directions available in India regions. Tried all possible and well know destinations but getting the same error "Directions not available". Now I am missing the original Google version of Maps. Hoping Apple fixes this soon otherwise I am going back to iOS 5.
BTW I am using iPhone 4.
For now, apple maps doesn't seem to be working outside US.
You can access google maps from safari browser and tap to "Add to Home". This works fine till google releases its own Map App.
Apparently, only "Standard" maps are available in India.

So, all you can do is open up the Maps app, browse, and admire the maps. Even the search database is pathetic, it can't even find major landmarks.
"Directions" in India will have to wait: there's no India in the list above.

Should have done their homework properly
Just sat in m car and to my shock the ipad cannot show directions an directions........
When will apple wake up.......
We in india use maps too TIM
They could have at least given the same features as google maps......
In the process of becoming better they forgot us Indians
Yup... True! Maps app in iOS6 actually do not work in India... Just forget it, use some other app. I think if Maps is a NEED, you restore your iPhone with ios5. Thats all.
FOR GOD SAKE... APPLE- RELEASE A COPY OF THE "GOOGLE MAPS" QUICKLY!!!!
I should have never done the Grave mistake of downloading Disastrous iOS6😮. The maps are not working at all. Also, they have moved YouTube Icon from😠 new version.I am using Iphone 4S.
