Q: Apple maps very disappointing

I can use Google maps alone, but not with other apps that require location. Biblical disaster.

Hmmmm.... there is nothing to suggest that the Apple maps are working in the US. I can only re-iterate my previous comments... if it was that important, than the prudent thing was to wait and see for 24 hours.

I know that doesn't excuse Apple releasing something that works, but nonetheless it is prudent to wait with ANY software release if you don't want to get your paw stuck in the jar.

I want to be able to set Google maps as default to ALL my apps rather than Apple map because its map does not work in London. The train, tube, rail and bus stations do not show in a user friendly way. It has ruined many of my apps which need these sites to show accurate location, such as Rightmove, tube London, cycle hire, Time Out etc.

I need the option to use Google map as default. I was very surprised and then "upset" that Apple did not say before upgrading to IOS 6 that Google map would be replaced by one that only works in America. If I knew, I would never have downloaded it..

That requires that they occasionally look up from their phone and look at the world around them. I am not hopeful.

What I love about all this is that in Japan the are glued to their phones, yet somehow manage to not fall in rivers... or fountains.

No, just a fellow user who is getting progressively more annoyed by someone who, despite knowing the answer to the question, keeps posting it over and over again. It was bad enough when you were just posting in every single thread related to maps. However, multiple, indentical posts in one thread starts to remind me of a two-year old having a tantrum because his favorite teddy is in the wash.
