Q: Apple maps very disappointing

Having just downloaded iOS 6 I am hugely disappointed with apple maps. In the UK many town names are wrong, with some missing; roads are all the same colour; satellite image resolution is not as good as it was previously. Sure, the 3D map in London is good but it only covers an area a few square miles, so is currently more of a gimmick.

So questions i have...

1) Are others experiencing the same?

2) Will it get better and if so how quickly?

3) Will there be a google maps app released soon?

iPhone 4S, iOS 6

Actually all Level 6 and higher participants have been invited to view the post from someone calling himself "Ex-Apple Fan". The word is that he/she is having a difficult time dealing with facts. But some posters are like that.

Still don't see how that's trolling?

Do you have a way that you can tell us about on how to downgrade to iOS 5?

As has been explained her, ad nauseum, no one here can tell you how to do that. Continuing to ask is an exercise in futility.

And I was defending you. I believe that your opinions are real and that your not a troll.

But the cleare fact is that my posts and the likes have "forced" Apple to change its wording for the iLost Map App and forced sailor Cook to "apologise" in public.

We will continue these posts until we "force" Apple to open a window for iOS 5 signing for those like me who don't like iOS 6 because it was installed by deciptions and lies from your master.

For slaves accepting reality is the fact of life, for freemen like me we make realities cahnge. As my friends said earlier here keep wearing your level and points uniform and keep thinking you are authority. We will force your idol to allow iOS 5 again.

Are you really and truly a free man when you are such a slave to a Maps program? My technology complements my life, it doesn't rule it as your's appears to.

Anyone tuning in now to see the progress, a sideshow is created regularly by a sect of apple devotees.

The reality is, if you are wanting to know, apple maps is certainly very dissapointing if you live outside of Tampa Florida.

In addition, if you choose to buy an iphone 5 or upgrade a pervious version, you will lose a high level of functionality because a native google apps application will no longer be at your disposal.

You will thus be forced to use apple maps as the only fully integrated map service. Therefore, you will have to rely on 3rd party applications. At the moment, google mpas is not available for the new iphone operating system. And as far as i can tell, and at least here i Australia, there is no single mapping application that comes close to the functinality i had in my phone previous to the latest upgrade.

Coming to this forum to try and find a solution is probably futile, as there are only minor workarounds. You are not able to get the same level of functionality as before the upgrade.

If you love google maps, the new iphone is probably not for you if you must have it. Unfortunately, i dont like the android devices and am stuck using a phone that used to be perfect. For me, the iphone has suffered a major downgrade. Am hoping a solution will be found.

I personally, after reading many technical articles, have no faith that apple will in any time soon be at the level fo google maps.

Dont be distracted by the side show. Apple maps is very dissapointing and probablly worse than you think.

I'm not sure what group you think you are speaking for but, good luck with that.

As silly as you can get...

    slave to map program?

Apple takes from me a productivity and business tool by deciption promising me the world which appears to be a trash and garabage then you want me to accept it because real free men aren't slaves of technology?

Man...check your logic... it is really twisted... slaves of this company ..its sheeps will accept anything it does to them and find execuses for them.... we forced your CEO to apologize... can you get that??

Certainly not my CEO. I'm retired, maybe you should try it, as your stress level seems waaaaay to high to be healthy.

We will think of hiring you in that group... you make a good job of a watchdog...

It is the group which filled the Internet with the real feedback about iOS 6 and iLost Map Application. It is the group which made Apple change the wording of the ad and its CEO apologise.

All that you want us to do is to send our feedback to the blackhole feedback page which doesn't even enlist iOS in the options you are giving your feedback about although it does enlist Windows and Macs....

Could be your idol if not your CEO. Maybe your master.

I had the option of being a sheep or having to have stress and I chose the latter. Any objection?

By expending a ridiculous amount of effort beating your head against this metaphorical wall instead of finding a solution that will work for you now, you are making yourself a slave to the very thing you claim to despise.

The solution we already found. It is "forcing" Apple to allow downgrading to iOS 5...and we will
