Is this going to go on for much longer? I speak from a mere level five, and therefore innocent, and not one of the scorned level sixes....
You remember the Flash thread that went on for over a year, don't you?

If you're going to keep using the word "legitimate" you may want to look up how to spell it.

Oct 7, 2012 11:06 AM in response to le.bouchby Ex-Apple Fan,Thanks... unfortunately my English doesn't allow me to be as precise and concise as I would like to be and I have to explain in lines what I could say in my native language in a few words.
Nevertheless, watchdog stock doesn't seem to finish and now they started sending their puppies to practice.
What is it that made us buy Apple if it wasn't the emotion expressed by loyalty? This is why I get emotional and all what I ask for is the right to "dowgrade".
Apple's new PR campaign now is we give you an upgrades that makes "downgrading" a wish for you and that you will have to "fight" against watchdogs to get your voice heard...

It accomplished nothing. You will note adobe still doesn't make a version of Flash for iOS and in fact, stopped making it for any mobile device. It was a resounding failure from the perspective of the people who kept demanding Flash,

Oct 7, 2012 11:10 AM in response to Ex-Apple Fanby SithPImp,Not exactly true, touting the Level's can get you banned brotha... don't know if you know that or not. They aren't running around here with badges stuck on their chest like Special Officer Doofy for nothing... I've got a friend that was banned from the Support Discussions for simply posting his thoughts and ideas on this very topic. You have to be diplomatic with the way you go about this or you'll be banned, it's that simple.
Apple is NOT viewing this topic, their moderators or "watch dogs" as they've been called, are. Someone posted Tim Cook's email address, won't matter if you email him or not... he's not going to reopen the signing of iOS 5, part or whole. Apple is aware of the problems, they're aware of the people being unhappy, they're aware that people want to go back to 5.1.1 but they are NOT, repeat.... ARE NOT going to allow that to happen, ever.

Oct 7, 2012 11:18 AM in response to rbrylawskiby Ex-Apple Fan,You are either having problems in reading or understanding.....or both
I clearly and explicitly mentioned in my Mercedes example that it is a personal experience in a limited geographical area and asked those like you not to interpret it otherwise.
You come after that telling me exactly the opposite of what I explicitly asked you not to do?
For your information, there is a world outside Tampa that even your Mercedes with a cruise control is capable of reaching better than you with your "brain"

Oct 7, 2012 11:22 AM in response to SithPImpby Ex-Apple Fan,Good post... but who are you to speak on Apple behalf?
Unless they have a business case for not allowing the downgrade to happen which justifies "losing" and "upsetting" so many customers. Then someone from Apple should come to say that in public. At the end WE PAY APPLE.

Oct 7, 2012 11:26 AM in response to IdrisSeabrightby Nogueira,I have heard that Android Jelly Bean won't has Flash Player too. That will only damage the image of Adobe. The people will look for alternatives as Google did with street view on mobile Safari. And maybe there will be a time that nobody will need Flash Player anymore. That's exactly what could happen with IOS 6 maps.

Oct 7, 2012 11:27 AM in response to SithPImpby le.bouch,I wouldn't expect Apple to monitor or even be aware of external forums but I would be amazed if they have no clue at all about significant rumblings on their own one.
Agreed, they don't contribute, other than appointing mods to ban nay-sayers, but that doesn't mean they're not aware.
You may well be right, iOS 5 / Google Maps may never return but where is the harm in people who want that asking for it? And if it upsets people with points and levels....
There have literally been posts here saying 'quit whining', 'stop moaning', ordering people to stop repeating their requests of Apple. Says who? Unless you're a mod or Apple, you have no responsibility to police this thread. And certainly no authority.

Oct 7, 2012 11:33 AM in response to Ex-Apple Fanby SithPImp,I'm not trying to speak on their behalf and I'm certainly not defending them. I'm just as upset about it as you are, I was simply stating the facts. Yea, we do pay Apple and we should have the right to put our devices back to the exact state they were when we bought them. That's why we bought them in the first place, mostly. If it were one way in the box and once you opened it, it became something else, then most likely we wouldn't buy it to start with.

I'm not attempting to police this thread if you were implying that I was. I'd be happy if we could all get together on a bus and go straight to 1 Infinite Loop and throw rocks at Apple until Tim Cook came outside with ham sandwiches and sat with us on the grass and came to a compromise on this issue. But that ain't gonna happen....

Oct 7, 2012 11:38 AM in response to Shilts9by Nogueira,I have been thinking about some solutions for the IOS 6 maps. Apple could return with Google Maps in IOS 6 and keep Apple Maps too. So, we could have the best of both worlds.

Oct 7, 2012 11:49 AM in response to Nogueiraby Ex-Apple Fan,We all wished that to be a reality. Unfortunately, someone in Apple insisted to have the full version of Google Maps which is only available on Androids. Google didn't accept as they wanted Android devices to have an edge over Apple's.
Now that same monkey in Apple decided to have his own application and contracted 24 companies to provide the mapping, information, coding, search ...etc. in a boiled application that has been released while itsn't worth being in stage Alpha of testing and QA.
That same monkey asked another chimp to tell the world that we have brought you the best and most beautiful mapping service ever.
People like us who didn't know that monkeys and chimps were behind the wheel believed and upgraded to find themselves in this thread asking for the downgrade.
