Q: Apple maps very disappointing

Having just downloaded iOS 6 I am hugely disappointed with apple maps. In the UK many town names are wrong, with some missing; roads are all the same colour; satellite image resolution is not as good as it was previously. Sure, the 3D map in London is good but it only covers an area a few square miles, so is currently more of a gimmick.

So questions i have...

1) Are others experiencing the same?

2) Will it get better and if so how quickly?

3) Will there be a google maps app released soon?

iPhone 4S, iOS 6

This is not a problem with the device, it is a problem with the application.

OMG. Please try using at least some of the common sense God blessed you with.

Please Mr. Level... may I have a crumb to put into my empty belly, I'm so hungry...

Please... why do you guys with the points seem to think you're so much better than the rest of us simpletons here?

98 pages... laugh... why do you keep coming here if you hate what we're saying and the fact that we just won't conform to what you say is the answer and solution.

Yeah, I can see how the concept of using some common sense might be a foreign thought for you. I think I see now why you think the Feedback route doesn't work. You don't know how to use it.

Chris CA, please stop altering what i write.

What Apple told me on the phone was that basicly that the more who calls, the more resources will be put in to solving the problem.

So Please do call Apple so we can get the map working, or get Apple to get us a working solution.

please take some time and give them a call

We have to do more then just sit here and write each other here. Get on the phone.

You already know what the solution is. And as been stated, oh so many times, there is no Apple approved method to downgrade, this does not mean there is NO method.

And since there is no feedback link specifically for that application, you can report it the same way you would for any other app without a specific feedback link.

Which is??  Why not just finish and be helpful to the guy?

    and

"OMG. Please try using at least some of the common sense God blessed you with."

Yeah, that is really helpful too.

If your gonna go to the trouble to post why not give helpful information.  Maybe, just maybe, not everyone sits on a computer all day and is used to doing what you do.  He is not asking just to be annoying but you are purposely being annoying to him.

The feedback form is one of the worst user interfaces that I have ever seen. Simple QA for forms should categorize the problems for statistical / technical purposes on very specific criteria.

This stupid form was made by a stupid programmer who remembered to enlist the OS of the platform which aparently runs iTunes but neglected to enlist the iOS version of the iPhone you are giving the feedback about.

Exactly.  There IS a method but it's only supported on A4 devices and NOT on A5 devices.  Sadly, we need Apple to sign 5.1.1 for A5 devices since the unsupported method doesn't cover the A5 devices.

So why don't you help all the hackers in finding an exploit for the A5 chip to allow downgrading those devices too?

That really would be a help to a lot of people, and no doubt if you diverted all your effort posting here to that task you'd solve it in no time.
