Just so people get a clue, this thread has become a real side show. It's funny, it's entertaining, but it's certainly not informative. So to those who like to count posts and views and then declare the importance of the issue at hand based on those counts I have some news for you. Most people are like me. We have to get our daily fix of the buffoonery, the entertaining rants and whining, the contests between the puffed up and injured egos. This stuff is better than any TV reality show. This thread now has over 56,000 views and I can guarantee that 98% of those views are from members like me who come here several times a day to watch the latest episode.

My "viewing list" consists of just about any Maps thread, the Purple Haze threads, the "let us go back to iOS 5.1.1" threads, and of course the ever present "I have a problem I can't understand or fix so I claim everybody has the same problem and Apple is covering it up" threads.

So, let's get you better informed. Google don't have 3D images, Apple do. So we can't compare like-for-like... what can we do...?

Except Google do have 3D images. Better informed?

No, just more pedantry. Google don't have 3D around the Eiffel Tower. There, you can relax now. Funny how you ignored the rest of my post and just picked out the little bit you could manipulate..

Google don't have 3D around the Eiffel Tower and neither do Apple. That's the fair comparison.

You have forgotten to mention the side show that Apple created by the launching of Apple Maps. The launching was funny, entertaining, but it's certainly was not informative.

I am living in China, travel around the world a lot. This new Apple map is useless. Any city outside China is coming out as "No Results found". Or put it in somewhere China, for example, Milan is in a small street somewhere in HongKong, New York too. Wow, we Chinese are so great! We are the whole world now !  What a jok Apple map is !

I cann't believe that kind of thing can be released! Apple, you are ruining yourself with your arrogence .

Why Apple doesn't let us downgrade to IOS 5, since there are many phones still running IOS 5.

Are they afraid of what ?

I've been away from this zoo for several days,  But, I can't believe you're still here asking why Apple won't let you downgrade?  It's been explained over and over and over and over and over.  Apple isn't going to give you your prized downgrade.  It's time to get over it.  Or do you just lke typing a dumb question over and over and over and over?

So True.......Did anyone catch Saturday Night Live last night?  They had a skit about iPhone 5, which was absolutely hysterical.  It really puts your post in perspective, and showed how utterly childish and rediculous the complainers are.  If you haven't seen it.  Google it........

I haven't found SNL very funny in years. But that was fantastic! Puts the whole "immense mental trauma" (from another thread), into perspective. Thanks for the heads up.

I know and everybody knows that at the moment they will not let us downgrade.

I have just asked about what they are afraid.

In my opinion they are afraid of a massive downgrade, which only will confirm the failure of IOS 6.

So please, let me know what are you thinking about the reasons they will not permit downgrade.
