Appleinsider, and Macrumors all allow people to comment and expose blatant misinformation.
So, what Apple said about the maps on its site before the launch and was later deleted, it is a blatant misinformation, too. Right?

So you are saying that AppleInsider is lying, the developers found no errors on Maps or if they found they kept in secret the errors, and everybody who have found errors on Apple Maps is lying.

No. I am saying that Appleinsider was just reporting on lies. Developers certainly found errors on Maps. There are errors in any product from any company. An actual developer would realize that a product released to customer beta test is considered feature-complete. An actual developer would report such bugs and move on with development. That is what actually happened.

Oct 16, 2012 9:25 PM in response to Nogueiraby Jammerx,I just can't believe there has not been an update. Maps ***** so bad I looked at a Samsung Galaxy S 3! Contract is up December 12, and I may leave Apple... Which is something considering I own a Mac and a iPad. May be for the better...
When are they going to fix it? Or better yet give us the CHOICE!

1 - The map data is getting updated all the time.
2 - The Maps app will most likely get updated at the next iOS update.
Do you want Apple to rush a Maps app update and not make sure things are actually fixed?

And I will be the one who points the lawyers to your post that said:

Quite the star witness ;-)
And I do use the new one quite a lot because it is not useful unlike the old app was. So how is that lawsuit going?

Oct 17, 2012 12:32 AM in response to Shilts9by gkinchina,Great News! Google native IOS app is coming and it has all that proper map data we have all grown to trust, turn by turn navigation, transit and directions, vector maps for fast downloading plus street view.
http://www.ibtimes.com/google-maps-apple-ios-6-almost-ready-report-846797
We dont have to suffer the crappy IOS6 Maps for long now! The **** thing returns "not found" for practically everything in South Asia.
And the best part, Eric Schmidt has already made a public statement that Apple MUST approve the Google Maps App.
Apple does not have a choice in the matter - but obviously - antitrust issues

Oct 17, 2012 1:48 AM in response to gkinchinaby conorfromvictoria,And not just in South Asia, Korea as well.
Today I tried to pull up info that was bookmarked
on my iOS maps 5. The place is now spelled improperly and 2km south of where it should be.
A little annoyed!

Oct 17, 2012 1:56 AM in response to conorfromvictoriaby le.bouch,Can't you just sing the Apple hymn and be grateful you have vector graphics and Flyover?
With vector graphics you can download all that inaccurate map data really quickly! With Flyover you can look at New York from a great height in 3D!
Can I get a "thank you Apple"?
I can't hear you....

Satellite in the UK is on the list. Here's where I'm going in December - just to the right of the screen, unfortunately. Oh well.

And you can pour all the scorn you like. For some, it's a significant issue. Are we all going to die? No. Have we been sold short by Apple and is it causing some of us real inconvenience and worse? Yes.
You would likely let Tim Cook drive your car right off your driveway and still find a way to say he's a great guy.
